Servicing carrier definition
Servicing carrier means any authorized insurer designated by the assigned risk plan and approved by the commissioner and the United States Department of Labor to issue workers' compensation poli- cies. It shall issue policies on behalf of the assigned risk plan, provide safety engineering, handle claims incurred by those covered by the assigned risk plan, provide premium audits, perform underwriting functions, and perform other duties as defined by the governing com- mittee in its operating procedures.
Servicing carrier means an insurance company or self-insurance administrator that is selected from among the Bid Respondents to provide the Plan Services responsive to this RFP, but subject to the specific terms, conditions and limitations of a Servicing Carrier Contract entered into between the successful Bid Respondent and the Plan.
