Server Software License definition

Server Software License as opposed to Client Software License, means that such server Software may be stored once permanently on a medium of a server and loaded once temporarily into the main memory of such a computer, unless otherwise agreed. If a further instance such as a Virtual Machine is to be operated, the Customer shall require a further license for each instance. The server software may be operated from the data centre of a provider other than Licensor. vii. „Server-Software-Lizenz“ bedeutet im Gegensatz zur Client-Software-Lizenz, dass die Server-Software einmal und dauerhaft auf einem Speichermedium eines Servers gespeichert und einmal temporär in den Arbeitsspeicher eines solchen Rechners geladen werden darf, sofern nicht anders vereinbart.
