serious criminal offence definition

serious criminal offence means an offence which corresponds or is equivalent to one of the offences referred to in Article 2(2) of Framework Decision 2002/584/JHA, if it is punishable under national law by a custodial sentence or a detention order for a maximum period of at least three years;
serious criminal offence means an offence involving dishonesty or deception or any offence punishable by a Court of competent jurisdiction by a term of imprisonment of 12 months or more (whether or not any custodial sentence is in fact imposed).
serious criminal offence means any criminal offence excluding those which have been spent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and excluding any offence for which the maximum sentence is a fine or a lesser sentence, except where a person has been convicted of any offence which falls under section 178 of the Charities Act 2011.
