Section 401(k) Contribution definition

Section 401(k) Contribution shall have the meaning set forth in Section 5.2.
Section 401(k) Contribution means the amount contributed by the Employer to the Plan as a result of a Participant’s election pursuant to an Enrollment Election to reduce his Compensation.
Section 401(k) Contribution means the amount contributed by the Employer as a result of a Participant's election in an Enrollment Designation to reduce his Compensation.

  • If the Employer makes a QNEC that it elects to have treated as a Section 401(k) Contribution, the Contribution will be in an amount necessary to satisfy the Actual Deferral Percentage test and will be allocated first to those Non-Highly Compensated Employees who had the lowest Actual Deferral Ratio.

  • In addition, a Section 401(k) Contribution will be taken into account under the Actual Deferral Percentage test of Code section 401(k) and this Section for a Plan Year only if it is allocated to an Employee as of a date within that Plan Year.

  • Section 401(k) Contributions made by the Company on behalf of a Participant pursuant to Section V shall be credited, as made, to the Participant’s Section 401(k) Contribution Account.

  • A Section 401(k) Contribution is made in lieu of all or a portion of such Participant’s After-tax Savings deposits into the Trust Fund under Section 4.2 of the Plan.

  • The balance of a Terminated Participant’s After-tax Savings Account and Section 401(k) Contribution Account (as determined in accordance with Articles IV and V) shall be valued as of the Valuation Date coinciding with or immediately preceding the date distribution is made to the Participant, and shall be subject to distribution in the same manner as provided in Sections 8.5 and 8.10 (and in the same forms as provided in Section 8.9) without discrimination in favor of or against any class.

  • Distribution of a Participant’s or Former Participant’s Section 401(k) Contribution Account (and the earnings thereon) is subject to Section 5.10 and the limitations of Section 401(k) of the Code.

  • Such election to discontinue future contributions shall be effective as specified in Section 2.3, unless the Participant is depositing After-tax Savings into the Trust Fund pursuant to Section 4.2. Finally, the Plan Administrator shall have the right and obligation to reduce a Participant’s rate of Section 401(k) Contribution to any rate as necessary, from time to time, in order to assure compliance by this Plan with the standards of Section 401(k)(3) of the Code.


More Definitions of Section 401(k) Contribution

Section 401(k) Contribution means, for each individual who is a Participant in this Plan, the aggregate contribution (if any) made by one or more Participating Companies on his or her behalf to the Qualified Plan pursuant to the Section 401(k) Election in effect for that individual for the Plan Year.

  • Catch-Up Contribution means an Elective Deferral made to the Plan by a Catch-Up Eligible Participant that, during any taxable year of such Participant, exceeds one of the following:

  • Company Contribution means that portion of the main extension costs which the Company will fund based upon the following formula:

  • Additional Contribution Each Member's pro-rata portion of a Required Amount, determined by multiplying the Required Amount by each Member's Interest.

  • In-kind contribution means a contribution of goods or services received by a candidate committee, joint candidates committee, political committee, continuing political committee, political party committee, or legislative leadership committee, which contribution is paid for by a person or entity other than the recipient committee, but does not include services provided without compensation by an individual volunteering a part of or all of his or her time on behalf of a candidate or committee.

  • Elective Contribution means the Employer's contributions to the Plan of Deferred Compensation excluding any such amounts distributed as excess "annual additions" pursuant to Section 4.10(a). In addition, any Employer Qualified Non-Elective Contribution made pursuant to Section 4.6 shall be considered an Elective Contribution for purposes of the Plan. Any such contributions deemed to be Elective Contributions shall be subject to the requirements of Sections 4.2(b) and 4.2(c) and shall further be required to satisfy the discrimination requirements of Regulation 1.401(k)-1(b)(5), the provisions of which are specifically incorporated herein by reference.

  • Discretionary Contribution means the contribution made by the Employer on behalf of a Participant as described in Section 4.4(b).

  • Cash Contribution refers to a direct payment of Contribution in Canadian currency.

  • Qualifying contribution means, with respect to a candidate, a contribution that—

  • Qualified Matching Contribution means any employer contribution allocated to an Eligible Employee's account under any plan of an Employer or a Related Company solely on account of "elective contributions" made on his behalf or "employee contributions" made by him that is a qualified matching contribution as defined in regulations issued under Code Section 401(k), is nonforfeitable when made, and is distributable only as permitted in regulations issued under Code Section 401(k).

  • Matching Contribution means an Employer contribution made to this or any other Defined Contribution Plan on behalf of a Participant on account of an Employee Contribution made by such Participant, or on account of a Participant's Employee Elective Deferral, under a plan maintained by the Employer.

  • Employer Contribution means the amount paid by an employer, as determined by the employer rate, including the normal and deficiency rates, contributions, and funds wherever used in this chapter.

  • Company Contribution Account means (i) the sum of the Participant’s Company Contribution Amounts, plus (ii) amounts credited or debited to the Participant’s Company Contribution Account in accordance with this Plan, less (iii) all distributions made to the Participant or his or her Beneficiary pursuant to this Plan that relate to the Participant’s Company Contribution Account.

  • Non-Elective Contribution means the Employer contributions to the Plan excluding, however, contributions made pursuant to the Participant's deferral election provided for in Section 4.2 and any Qualified Non-Elective Contribution used in the "Actual Deferral Percentage" tests.

  • Company Contribution Amount means, for any one Plan Year, the amount determined in accordance with Section 3.5.

  • Matching Contribution Account means the separate, individual account established on behalf of a Participant to which the Matching Contributions made on such Participant's behalf are credited, together with all earnings and appreciation thereon, and against which are charged any withdrawals, loans and other distributions made from such account and any losses, depreciation or expenses allocable to amounts credited to such account.

  • Catch-Up Contributions means Salary Reduction Contributions made to the Plan that are in excess of an otherwise applicable Plan limit and that are made by Participants who are Age 50 or over by the end of their taxable years. An “otherwise applicable Plan limit” is a limit in the Plan that applies to Salary Reduction Contributions without regard to Catch-up Contributions, such as the limits on Annual Additions, the dollar limitation on Salary Reduction Contributions under Code Section 402(g) (not counting Catch-up Contributions) and the limit imposed by the Actual Deferral Percentage (ADP) test under Code Section 401(k)(3). Catch-up Contributions for a Participant for a taxable year may not exceed the dollar limit on Catch-up Contributions under Code Section 414(v)(2)(B)(i) for the taxable year. The dollar limit on Catch-up Contributions under Code Section 414(v)(2)(B)(i) is $1,000 for taxable years beginning in 2002, increasing by $1,000 for each year thereafter up to $5,000 for taxable years beginning in 2006 and later years. After 2006, the $5,000 limit will be adjusted by the Secretary of the Treasury for cost-of-living increases under Code Section 414(v)(2)(C). Any such adjustments will be in multiples of $500.

  • Initial Contribution means that contribution each Participant has made or agrees to make pursuant to Section 5.1 of the Agreement.

  • Delayed contribution payment means an amount paid by an employee for purchase of current service. The amount shall be determined using the same formula in KRS 61.5525, and the payment shall not be picked up by the employer. A delayed contribution payment shall be deposited to the member's account and considered as accumulated contributions of the individual member. In determining payments under this subsection, the formula found in this subsection shall prevail over the one found in KRS 212.434;

  • Qualified Non-Elective Contribution means any Employer contributions made pursuant to Section 4.1(c) and Section 4.6(b) and Section 4.8(f). Such contributions shall be considered an Elective Contribution for the purposes of the Plan and may be used to satisfy the "Actual Deferral Percentage" tests or the "Actual Contribution Percentage" tests.

  • Contribution Account means an account, or accounts, into which the Accountholder and employer contributions are deposited by the TPA, and from which HSA dollars are swept into the Cash Account.

  • Deferral Contributions are Salary Reduction Contributions and Cash or Deferred Contributions the Employer contributes to the Trust on behalf of an Eligible Employee, irrespective of whether, in the case of Cash or Deferred Contributions, the contribution is at the election of the Employee. For Salary Reduction Contributions, the terms "deferral contributions" and "elective deferrals" have the same meaning.

  • Qualified Nonelective Contribution (QNEC) means the Employer's contributions to the Plan that are made pursuant to Sections 12.1(a)(4), 12.5 and 12.7 or pursuant to any other Plan provision which provides for such contributions.
