Second Watch definition

Second Watch means a watch, the major portion of which falls between 08:00 hours and 16:00 hours.

  • Police Officer II’s (“A,” “C,” “D,” and “E” steps), Police Officer I’s and Recruits who are assigned to Second Watch, or if the majority of their regularly scheduled work shift falls after 1800 hours, will receive additional compensation based on 3.8% of Police Officer II’s (“E” Step) base rate.

  • Police Officer III’s, Sergeants, and Detectives, who are assigned to Second Watch or if the majority of their regularly scheduled work shift falls after 1800 hours will receive additional compensation of 3.8% of the employee’s base rate.
