Seasonal or Temporary Employee definition

Seasonal or Temporary Employee means an Employee who is hired for a specific period of time which does not usually exceed 4 months.

  • Temporary Employee is one who is hired on a temporary basis for a full- time or part-time position:

  • Temporary Employees means those employees hired to replace regular employees absent due to illness, accident, vacation, leave of absence, etc., or hired to perform work on projects or assignments of limited duration. The employment of temporary employees hired to perform work on projects or assignments of limited duration shall be limited to a period of ninety (90) days of work in any twelve (12) month period, commencing from the date of hire or commencement of employment in such period. The period of employment for temporary employees hired for all other purposes shall be limited to twelve (12) months. REGULAR EMPLOYEE shall mean an employee who is not on probation and is employed in a regular or limited-term position. REGULAR POSITION shall mean a position established on a permanent year- round basis requiring work on a regular schedule unless otherwise authorized by minute order of the Board. SENIORITY shall mean total continuous full-time equivalent service as a regular employee.

  • Permanent Employee means an employee in the classified service who has successfully completed a probationary period.

  • Administrative employee means an employee who normally supervises persons engaged in office administration, construction, security or maintenance work who are represented by another trade union. This definition includes employees who share a community of interest with “supervisors”.

  • Management Employee means an employee having responsibility for formulating, administering or managing the implementation of District policies and programs.

  • Temporary total disability means disability that results in the inability of an employee to earn wages as a result of a compensable injury for which disability benefits may not exceed a cumulative total of one hundred four weeks or the date the employee reaches maximum medical improvement or maximum medical recovery, whichever occurs first.
