Sealers definition

Sealers means coatings labeled and formulated for application to a substrate to prevent subsequent coatings from being adsorbed by the substrate, or to prevent harm to subsequent coatings by materials in the substrate.

More Definitions of Sealers

Sealers means coatings formulated and recommended for application to substrates for one or more of the following purposes: to prevent subsequent coatings from being absorbed by the substrate; to prevent harm to subsequent coatings from materials in the substrate; to block stains, odors, or efflorescence; to seal water, smoke or fire damage; or to condition chalky surfaces.
Sealers. (封固底劑) means architectural coatings that are applied to either block materials from penetrating into or leaching out of a substrate, to prevent subsequent coatings from being absorbed by the substrate or to prevent harm to subsequent coatings by materials in the substrate;

Related to Sealers

  • Coating means a material applied onto or impregnated into a substrate for protective, decorative, or functional purposes. Such materials include, but are not limited to, paints, varnishes, sealers, and stains.

  • Antenna coating means a coating labeled and formulated exclusively for application to equipment and associated structural appurtenances that are used to receive or transmit electromagnetic signals.

  • Specialty coating means a coating that, even though it meets the definition of a primer, topcoat, or self- priming topcoat, has additional performance criteria beyond those of primers, topcoats, and selfpriming topcoats for specific applications. These performance criteria may include, but are not limited to, temperature or fire resistance, substrate compatibility, antireflection, temporary protection or marking, sealing, adhesively joining substrates, or enhanced corrosion protection. A specialty coating is any coating listed in Table 10-1 of this regulation and defined in 10.2 of this regulation.

  • Touch-up coating means a coating used to cover minor coating imperfections appearing after the main coating operation.
