Sanctioned Country or Territory definition

Sanctioned Country or Territory means, at any time, a country, region or territory which is subject to comprehensive economic sanctions by the United States that broadly restrict trade and investment in or with that country or territory (at the time of this Agreement, the Crimea Region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria).
Sanctioned Country or Territory means any country or territory against which comprehensive sanctions are imposed by Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, any EU Member States, Switzerland, the United Nations, or any other country with jurisdiction over the activities undertaken in connection with this Agreement.
Sanctioned Country or Territory means, at any time, a country, region or territory which is subject to comprehensive economic sanctions by the United States that broadly restrict trade and investment in or with that country or territory (at the time of this Agreement, the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic, the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic, the Crimea Region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, North Korea and Syria).

Examples of Sanctioned Country or Territory in a sentence

  • Supplier will not supply, directly or indirectly, to GSKM any goods, software, technology, or services sourced from a Sanctions Target or, without prior disclosure to and consent from the GSKM, an EO 13599 List Party, an SSI Party, or a Sanctioned Country or Territory (i.e., any country or territory against which comprehensive sanctions or an import ban are imposed by the United States, the European Union, or the United Kingdom).

  • Third Party shall not supply, directly or indirectly, to [GSK contracting party] any goods, software, technology, or services sourced from a Sanctions Target or, without prior disclosure to and consent from the [GSK contracting party], an EO 13599 List Party, an SSI Party, or a Sanctioned Country or Territory (i.e., any country or territory against which comprehensive sanctions or an import ban are imposed by the United States, the European Union, or the United Kingdom).


More Definitions of Sanctioned Country or Territory

Sanctioned Country or Territory means any country or territory against which comprehensive sanctions are imposed, administered or enforced from time to time by Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, any EU Member States, Switzerland, the United Nations or United Nations Security Council, or any other country with jurisdiction over the activities undertaken in connection with this Agreement. As at the Effective Date, Sanctioned Country or Territory includes Iran, Cuba, Sudan, Syria, North Korea and the Crimea region of Ukraine.
Sanctioned Country or Territory means any country or territory against which comprehensive sanctions are imposed, administered or enforced from time to time by Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the EU, any EU Member States, Switzerland, the United Nations or United Nations Security Council, or any other country with jurisdiction over the activities undertaken in connection with the Trading Terms Agreement or Purchase Order Contract. As at February 2021, Sanctioned Country or Territory includes Burma (Myanmar), Central African Republic, Crimea & Sevastopol, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, North Korea, Russia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, The Former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Ukraine, Yemen and Zimbabwe.

Related to Sanctioned Country or Territory

  • Sanctioned Territory means a country or territory that is the subject of comprehensive economic Sanctions including, without limitation, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea.

  • Sanctioned Countries shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.30.

  • Sanctioned Country means, at any time, a country or territory which is the subject or target of any Sanctions.

  • Sanctioned Target means any target of Sanctions, including (i) persons on any list of targets identified or designated pursuant to any Sanctions, (ii) persons, countries, or territories that are the target of any territorial or country-based Sanctions program, (iii) persons that are a target of Sanctions due to their ownership or control by any Sanctioned Target(s), or (iv) persons otherwise a target of Sanctions, including vessels and aircraft, that are designated under any Sanctions program.

  • Sanctioned Party means any persons, entities, bodies, or vessels designated by a Sanctioning Authority.

  • Sanctioned Load means the load in kW, kVA or BHP, which the licensee has agreed to supply from time to time subject to the governing terms and conditions in the absence of an Agreement between the Distribution licensee and the consumer;

  • Designated country end product means a WTO GPA country end product, a Free Trade Agreement country end product, a least developed country end product, or a Caribbean Basin country end product.

  • Sanctioned Person means, at any time, (a) any Person listed in any Sanctions-related list of designated Persons maintained by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the U.S. Department of State, or by the United Nations Security Council, the European Union or any European Union member state, (b) any Person operating, organized or resident in a Sanctioned Country or (c) any Person owned or controlled by any such Person or Persons described in the foregoing clauses (a) or (b).

  • OFAC Sanctions means any sanctions program administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the United States Department of the Treasury (“OFAC”) under authority delegated to the Secretary of the Treasury (the “Secretary”) by the President of the United States or provided to the Secretary by statute, and any order or license issued by, or under authority delegated by, the President or provided to the Secretary by statute in connection with a sanctions program thus administered by OFAC. For ease of reference, and not by way of limitation, OFAC Sanctions programs are described on OFAC’s website at xxx.xxxxx.xxx/xxxx.

  • Nondesignated country end product means any end product that is not a U.S.-made end product or a designated country end product.

  • Relevant Territory means Hong Kong or such other territory as the Directors may from time to time decide if the issued ordinary share capital of the Company is listed on a stock exchange in such territory;

  • Selected Countries the jurisdictions listed on Appendix C as such may be amended from time to time in accordance with Article II.

  • Corrupt activities means any corrupt activities as contemplated in the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act 2004 (Act no. 12 of 2004)

  • third country means a country that is not member of the Union;

  • Sanctions Target means: (i) any country or territory that is the subject of country-wide or territory-wide Sanctions, including, but not limited to, as the date of this Agreement, Iran, Cuba, Syria, Sudan and North Korea; (ii) a person or entity that is on the list of Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons published by OFAC or any equivalent list of sanctioned persons issued by the U.S. Department of State; or (iii) a person or entity that is located in or organized under the laws of a country or territory that is identified as the subject of country-wide or territory-wide Sanctions Laws and Regulations.
