Right−of−way definition

Right−of−way means the area on, below, or above a high- way, as defined in s.340.01 (22), other than a federal interstate highway; sidewalk; utility easement, other than a utility easement for a cooperative association organized under ch. 185 for purposes of providing or furnishing heat, light, power, or water to its mem- bers only; or other similar property, including property owned or controlled by the department of transportation.
Right−of−way means the privilege of the immediate use of the roadway.
Right−of−way means the strip of land over which rail- road tracks run, or within which a public street or highway has been constructed, regardless of whether the strip of land is owned by the railroad or the entity that maintains the public street or high- way. For the purposes of this chapter, a “right−of−way” includes corridors created by dedication, by the granting of an easement and by the acquisition of fee title.

More Definitions of Right−of−way

Right−of−way means easement or right to use real property owned by native electric utilities, railroads, individuals, or other entities. Service Provider has or will acquire appropriate interests in such real property, or other rights as may be required to provide and maintain the Leased Fibers.
Right−of−way or “ROW” means the area within the outermost boundaries of a street or road, including the area for a constructed watercourse or drainage ditch.

  • Ofwat means the Water Services Regulation Authority;

  • Surface owner means any person who holds record title to the surface of the land as an owner.

  • Residential care home or “RCH” means a residential care home as defined and licensed under the Residential Care Homes (Elderly Persons) Ordinance (Cap. 459), or as defined and issued with a licence or certificate of exemption under the Residential Care Homes (Persons with Disabilities) Ordinance (Cap. 613), or the boarding section of a special school subvented under the Education Bureau, or the residential facilities of the Skills Centre (Tuen Mun) of Vocational Training Council, or a nursing home as referred to in the Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Maternity Homes Registration Ordinance (Cap. 165) which provides residential services for persons aged 60 or above in Hong Kong.

  • Burial site means any natural or prepared physical location, whether originally below, on, or above the surface of the earth, into which as a part of the death rite or ceremony of a culture, individual human remains are deposited.

  • Parcel means an identifiable unit of land that is treated as separate for valuation or zoning purposes.

  • Residential Unit means a home, apartment, residential condominium unit or mobile home, serving as the principal place of residence.

  • Adjacent means either immediately contiguous to or abutting a neighboring property, lot or walkway, and excludes property, lots, or walkways across the street from, or diagonally opposite across an intersection from the subject property, lot, or walkway.

  • Beds means the long term care home beds that are licensed or approved under the Act and identified in Schedule A, as the same may be amended from time to time.

  • Residential Dwelling Unit means any portion of a building that contains living facilities, including a room or rooms in a facility that have shared cooking, bathing, toilet, or laundry facilities such as dormitories, shelters, assisted living facilities, and boarding homes. "Residential dwelling unit" also means facilities that include provisions for sleeping, cooking, bathing, and toilet facilities for one or more persons and are used for extended stays, such as time-shares and extended-stay motels. "Residential dwelling unit" does not mean a guest room in a motel or hotel.

  • Residential care facility means an institution, residence, or facility that is licensed by the department of mental health under section 5119.22 of the Revised Code and that provides care for a child.

  • IDA means the International Development Association;

  • Legal Description means a complete description of land to be annexed without internal references to any other document, and shall be described in one of the following ways:

  • Recreational area means areas, excluding private single family residential areas, designated for active play, recreation or public assembly in parks, sports fields, picnic grounds, amphitheaters or golf course tees, fairways, roughs, surrounds and greens.

  • Dining club license means a license issued in accordance with Chapter 5, Retail

  • Townhouse means a building, other than a plex, stacked townhouse or apartment building, containing at least 3 dwelling units, each dwelling unit separated vertically from the other by a party wall and each dwelling unit having a separate entrance to grade;

  • Campground means that term as defined in section 12501 of the public health code, Act No. 368 of the Public Acts of 1978, being section 333.12501 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, except that campground does not include land or sites operated by this state or the federal government, and does not include a membership campground.

  • Rights-of-Way means easements, licenses, rights-of-way, permits, servitudes, leasehold estates, instruments creating an interest in real property, and other similar real estate interests.

  • Mobile home park means a parcel of land, or two or more

  • Balcony means a cantilevered deck that projects from a wall of a building and which, except for a railing, is not enclosed; (Bylaw 5609)

  • Lot width means the shorter of the following two linear measurements:

  • Easement means an acquired legal right for the specific use of land owned by others.

  • Expansion to an existing manufactured home park or subdivision means the preparation of additional sites by the construction of facilities for servicing the lots on which the manufactured homes are to be affixed (including the installation of utilities, the construction of streets, and either final site grading or the pouring of concrete pads).

  • Outer burial container means any container which is designed for placement in the ground around a casket or an urn including but not limited to containers commonly known as burial vaults, urn vaults, grave boxes, grave liners, and lawn crypts.

  • Design-build entity means a partnership, corporation, or other legal entity that is able to provide appropriately licensed contracting, architectural, and engineering services as needed pursuant to a design-build contract.

  • Plot means two or more lots in which the rights to inter have been sold as a unit.

  • Private road or driveway means every way or place in private ownership and used for vehicular travel by the owner and those having express or implied permission from the owner, but not by other persons.
