Retail Activities definition

Retail Activities means such activities that constitute the provision of goods or services by the Appointee directly to one or more End-Users, and such activities ancillary to such provision including ownership of meters, and that are so designated from time to time (which designation, for the avoidance of doubt, shall be reversible) by the Water Services Regulation Authority, but for the avoidance of doubt shall not include the following:
Retail Activities means providing any kind of financial product or service to a person that is typically offered or provided by a local financial institution, including, but not limited to, all of the following:
Retail Activities means the sale of Products in or through: (a) the physical Retail Stores or Kiosks branded and owned or managed by third parties; (b) physical Retail Stores and Kiosks branded with the Marks in the form of the Names, provided that the Licensee shall obtain the prior written approval of VEL (in VEL’s reasonable discretion) in advance of opening any Retail Stores; and (c) the Internet, mail order or telesales, online and all other forms of direct sales routes;

  • This Part 3A applies where the Water Services Regulation Authority has notified the Appointee by 31 December in the Charging Year before the Review Charging Year that a Price Control determined under sub-paragraph 8.3 in respect of the Appointee’s Retail Activities or sub-paragraph 8.4 in respect of the Appointee's Water Resources Activities or Network Plus Water Activities may be adjusted to reflect the Appointee’s performance in relation to a specific Performance Commitment.

  • Where after 1 April 2019 the Appointee requests the Water Services Regulation Authority to make a reference to the Competition and Markets Authority in respect of any determination under sub-paragraph 9.3 concerning Retail Activities, or under sub-paragraph 9.4 concerning Water Resources Activities, Bioresources Activities or Network Plus Activities, such reference must comprise all such determinations made under sub-paragraphs 9.3 or 9.4 at the same time relating to the Appointee.

More Definitions of Retail Activities

Retail Activities means the following activities, to the extent that such activities relate to Contestable Customers and Non-Contestable Customers: billing, payment handling, non- network calls, debt management, meter reading and such other activities that are incidental to any of the foregoing as the Water Services Regulation Authority may from time to time designate, after prior consultation with the Appointee, pursuant to sub-paragraph 4.9 below, but for the avoidance of doubt, shall not include any of the following activities: abstraction, treatment, distribution and supply of water, collection, treatment and disposal of waste water , meter ownership, maintenance or installation;
Retail Activities means providing any kind of financial product or service to a person that is typically offered or provided by a local financial institution, including, but not limited to: (A) accepting a deposit of any kind from a person (including credit union shares); or (B) granting a loan or extension of credit of any kind.
Retail Activities means all activities necessary for charging End Users and all ancillary activities including –
Retail Activities means any activities wholly and exclusively carried out (or which in the absence of horizontal or vertical integration would wholly and exclusively be carried out) in the course of supplying Retail Products and any activities wholly and exclusively carried out in the course of such activities, excluding those activities which are Wholesale Services;
Retail Activities means the sale of Products in or through (a) the physical Retail Stores or Kiosks branded and owned or managed by third parties; (b) physical Retail Stores and Kiosks branded with the Marks in the form of the Names, provided that the Licensee shall obtain the prior written approval of VEL (in VEL’s reasonable discretion) in advance of opening any Retail Stores; and (c) the Internet, mail order or telesales, online and all other forms of direct sales routes; Retail Store means any fixed, permanent retail establishment (whether stand alone or forming a concession within a larger retail outlet) for the sale of Products which are branded with the Marks in the form of the Names and all other fixed, permanent retail environments other than Kiosks;
Retail Activities and “SMEs banking business” means the offering to clients and SMEs of deposit, lending, current account, other money transmission services, installment credit and leasing business, credit card operations, bancassurance products, wealth management, private banking and investment services, commercial finance/factoring, the domestic and foreign exchange operations (foreign currency notes and travelers' cheques and foreign currency-related products and services), and the direct telephone and online banking services.

Related to Retail Activities

  • School activities means any activity sponsored by the school including, but not limited to, classroom work, library activities, physical education classes, official assemblies and other similar gatherings, school athletic contests, band concerts, school plays and other theatrical productions, and in-school lunch periods.

  • Commercial Activities means activities conducted on a commercial basis.

  • Interscholastic Activities means athletic or non-athletic/academic activities where students compete on a school vs. school basis.

  • Extracurricular activities means: a voluntary activity sponsored by the school or local education agency or an organization sanctioned by the local education agency. Extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to, preparation for and involvement in public performances, contests, athletic competitions, demonstrations, displays, and club activities.

  • Intrascholastic Activities means athletic or non-athletic/academic activities where students compete with students from within the same school.

  • High Risk Activities means uses such as the operation of nuclear facilities, air traffic control, or life support systems, where the use or failure of the Services could lead to death, personal injury, or environmental damage.

  • business vertical means a distinguishable component of an enterprise that is engaged in the supply of individual goods or services or a group of related goods or services which is subject to risks and returns that are different from those of the other business verticals.

  • Motor Sport Activities means any motor sport activities or Recreational Services which are permitted or approved which CAMS regulates or administers by CAMS or otherwise under the responsibility / control of CAMS;

  • Medical Affairs Activities means, with respect to any country or other jurisdiction in the Territory, the coordination of medical information requests and field based medical scientific liaisons with respect to Licensed Compounds or Licensed Products, including activities of medical scientific liaisons and the provision of medical information services with respect to a Licensed Compound or Licensed Product.

  • DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES means therapies, typically provided by a qualified professional using a treatment plan, that are intended to lessen deficiencies in normal age appropriate function. The therapies generally are meant to limit deficiencies related to injury or disease that have been present since birth. This is true even if the deficiency was detected during a later developmental stage. The deficiency may be the result of injury or disease during the developmental period. Developmental services are applied for sustained periods of time to promote acceleration in developmentally related functional capacity. This plan covers developmental services unless specifically listed as not covered.

  • Diagnostic Services means services provided for the purpose of determining the nature and cause of a condition, ill- ness, or injury.
