rest day means an uninterrupted rest period of 24 hours which the worker spends in a place of his own choosing;

rest day. ("Day Of Rest") means a day approved by management on which an Employee is not required to work that does not involve a Statutory Holiday, or day in lieu; vacation; or any leave of absence expressly authorized by this Collective Agreement, or otherwise approved by the Employer. Under no circumstances shall any day(s) of absence by an Employee such that he or she is “A.W.O.L”, that is, absent without leave duly authorized by management, be interpreted or applied as being rest day(s).
