Residential Care Facility (RCF) definition

Residential Care Facility (RCF) means a building, complex, or distinct part thereof, consisting of shared or individual living units in a homelike surrounding, where six or more seniors and adult individuals with disabilities may reside. The residential care facility offers and coordinates a range of supportive services available on a 24-hour basis to meet the activities of daily living, health, and social needs of the residents as described in these rules. A program approach is used to promote resident self-direction and participation in decisions that emphasize choice, dignity, individuality, and independence.
