Renewed definition

Renewed means, for the purposes of this regulation, a health coverage plan that is deemed renewed upon the occurrence of the earliest of: the annual anniversary date of issue; or the date on which premium rates can be or are changed according to the terms of the plan; or the date on which benefits can be or are changed according to the terms of the plan. If the health care coverage contract specifically allows for a change in premiums or benefits due to changes in state or federal requirements and a change in the health coverage plan premiums or benefits that is solely due to changes in state or federal requirements is not considered a renewal in the health care coverage contract, then such a change will not be considered a renewal for the purposes of this regulation.
Renewed means the renewing of registration in accordance with regulation 13, and ‘renewal’ shall be construed accordingly.
Renewed means, in the context of any Contract, the renewal (or equivalent engagement) of that Contract in an executed writing with any of the Purchased Companies or their Affiliates, upon terms not materially less favourable, taken as a whole, to the Purchased Companies than the terms of the extant Contract, excluding any additional or different terms or conditions requested by the Purchased Companies, and excluding any term or condition which is the result of changes in the market in general.
