Remedial services meansservices that are intended to correct a physical or mental disorder and are necessary to achieve a specific rehabilitative goal specified in the individual’s rehabilitation plan.(2) Scope of services. Except asotherwise provided under this subpart, rehabilitative services include medical or remedial services recommended by a physician or other licensed practitioner of the healing arts, within the scope of his practice under State law, for maximum reduction of physical or mental disability and restoration of a individual to the best possible functional level.
