Relief means any loss, relief, allowance, exemption, set-off, deduction, right to repayment or credit or other relief of a similar nature granted by or available in relation to Tax pursuant to any legislation or otherwise;
Tax Relief means any loss, relief, allowance or credit in respect of any Tax other than Generation Tax;
Tax Credits means the low-income housing tax credits found in Section 42 of the Code, and all rules, regulations, rulings, notices and other promulgations thereunder.
Credits means the Federal and State Housing Tax Credit program.
Group Relief means any of the following:
Equitable means fair and reasonable under the circumstances.
Appropriations means those funds appropriated from the general fund of the state and provided the division of soil conservation for funding the various incentive programs for soil erosion control.
Exhaust emissions means the emission of gaseous, solid and liquid compounds from the tailpipe.
Provisional items means items for which approximate quantities have been included in the tender documents.
Relief Act The Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940, as amended.
Pensions means annual payments for life derived from contributions made by the employer that at the time of retirement are credited into the annuity and pension reserve fund from the employers' accumulation fund and paid from the annuity and pension reserve fund as provided in this chapter. All pensions shall be paid in twelve equal monthly installments.
Overpayments as used in this Section include payments (i) made by the System Agency that exceed the maximum allowable rates; (ii) that are not allowed under applicable laws, rules, or regulations; or (iii) that are otherwise inconsistent with this Contract, including any unapproved expenditures. Xxxxxxx understands and agrees that it will be liable to the System Agency for any costs disallowed pursuant to financial and compliance audit(s) of funds received under this Contract. Xxxxxxx further understands and agrees that reimbursement of such disallowed costs shall be paid by Grantee from funds which were not provided or otherwise made available to Grantee under this Contract.
Civil Relief Act The Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940, as amended.
Damages means any loss, claim, damage, liability, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and disbursements and costs and expenses of expert witnesses and investigation).
Adjudicator means the person named in Appendix 2 of the Contract Agreement, appointed by agreement between the Procuring Entity and the Supplier to make a decision on or to settle any
Creditors Committee” means the official committee of unsecured creditors appointed in the Chapter 11 Cases pursuant to section 1102(a) of the Bankruptcy Code.
Allowances means budgets established for specific scopes of the Work that cannot be clearly defined at the time of Bid, but that are set, not-to-exceed amounts at the time that the Bid is established. Contractor shall only use Allowance(s) with the District’s prior, written approval. All unused Allowance(s) shall be kept by the District at the end of the Project.
Equitable Defenses means any bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization or other Laws affecting creditors’ rights generally and, with regard to equitable remedies, the discretion of the court before which proceedings may be pending to obtain same.
protection and indemnity risks means the usual risks covered by a protection and indemnity association managed in London, including pollution risks and the proportion (if any) of any sums payable to any other person or persons in case of collision which are not recoverable under the hull and machinery policies by reason of the incorporation in them of clause 6 of the International Hull Clauses (1/11/02 or 1/11/03), clause 8 of the Institute Time Clauses (Hulls) (1/11/95) or clause 8 of the Institute Time Clauses (Hulls) (1/10/83) or the Institute Amended Running Down Clause (1/10/71) or any equivalent provision;
Losses shall have the meaning set forth in Section 5(a).
Adjudicatory hearing means a hearing to determine:
Servicemember means a member of a uniformed service.
Debtors has the meaning set forth in the Recitals.
Recoveries means, with respect to any Liquidated Receivable, monies collected in respect thereof, from whatever source (other than from the sale or other disposition of the Financed Equipment), after such Receivable became a Liquidated Receivable.
Restitution means a specific sum of money ordered by the
Debtor Relief Laws means the Bankruptcy Code of the United States, and all other liquidation, conservatorship, bankruptcy, assignment for the benefit of creditors, moratorium, rearrangement, receivership, insolvency, reorganization, or similar debtor relief Laws of the United States or other applicable jurisdictions from time to time in effect.
