Registry Services definition

Registry Services are, for purposes of the Agreement, defined as the following: (a) those services that are operations of the registry critical to the following tasks: the receipt of data from registrars concerning registrations of domain names and name servers; provision to registrars of status information relating to the zone servers for the TLD; dissemination of TLD zone files; operation of the registry DNS servers; and dissemination of contact and other information concerning domain name server registrations in the TLD as required by this Agreement; (b) other products or services that the Registry Operator is required to provide because of the establishment of a Consensus Policy as defined in Specification 1; (c) any other products or services that only a registry operator is capable of providing, by reason of its designation as the registry operator; and (d) material changes to any Registry Service within the scope of (a), (b) or (c) above.
Registry Services means all services provided by an ARB approved Offset Project Registry in section 95987.
Registry Services with respect to a particular gTLD, shall have the meaning defined in the agreement between ICANN and the Registry Operator for that gTLD.

Examples of Registry Services in a sentence

  • In the event of a conflict between Registry Services and Consensus Policies or any Temporary Policy, the Consensus Polices or Temporary Policy shall control, but only with respect to subject matter in conflict.

  • Registry Operator shall maintain a business continuity plan, which will provide for the maintenance of Registry Services in the event of an extraordinary event beyond the control of the Registry Operator or business failure of Registry Operator, and may include the designation of a Registry Services continuity provider.

  • If a Registry Operator offers additional Registry Services that require submission of additional data, not included above, additional “extension schemas” shall be defined in a case by case basis to represent that data.

  • Registry Operator may offer Additional Services only with the written approval of ICANN, and, upon any such approval, such Additional Services shall be deemed Registry Services under this Agreement.

  • Requests by Registry Operator for the approval of Additional Services pursuant to Section 2.1 may be referred by ICANN to the Registry Services Technical Evaluation Panel (“RSTEP”) pursuant to that process at http://www.icann.org/en/registries/rsep/.


More Definitions of Registry Services

Registry Services means the services provided as an integral part of the operation of the Registry TLD, as defined in the Registry Agreement, and as such definition may be amended from time to time by ICANN and Registry Operator.
Registry Services means services provided as an integral part of the operation of the Registry TLD, including all sub-domains in which Registered Names are registered. In determining whether a service is integral to the operation of the Registry TLD, consideration will be given to the extent to which the Registry Operator has been materially advantaged in providing the service by its designation as such under this Agreement. The development of technology, expertise, systems, efficient operations, reputation (including identification as Registry Operator), financial strength, or relationships with registrars and third parties shall not be deemed an advantage arising from the designation. Registry Services include: receipt of data concerning registration of domain names and nameservers from registrars, provision to registrars of status information relating to the Registry TLD, dissemination of TLD zone files, operation of the Registry TLD zone servers, and dissemination of contact and other information concerning domain-name and nameserver registrations in the Registry TLD. Registry Services shall not include the provisions of name service for a domain name used by a single entity under a Registered Name registered through an ICANN-Accredited Registrar.
Registry Services means the services which the Registry Operator is entitled to provide under the Registry Agreement with ICANN, which include (i) the receipt of data from registrars concerning registrations of domain names and name servers in the Registry System; (ii) the operation of the Registry System database in compliance with the thick registry-registrar business model; (iii) the provision to registrars of status information relating to the zone servers for the .madrid TLD; (iv) the dissemination of the .madrid TLD zone files;
Registry Services has the meaning set forth in the Specification 6 of the Registry Agreement.
Registry Services means the registry management, securities administration and digital registrar services provided through the Platform, including through the Globacap management console, and including services relating to registry management, stakeholder management, shareholder communications and corporate actions.
