Refuge Area definition

Refuge Area means for all building exceeding 24 metres height, refuge area of 15 sq mtrs shall be provided as follows:

  • The parties have agreed to enter this Wildlife Refuge Agreement under Part 5 Division 4 of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 in order to protect and/or enable the study of biodiversity on the refuge area described in Item G (Refuge Area).


More Definitions of Refuge Area

Refuge Area means an area designed and provided at various levels or floors in the building as per requirements in NBC, to hold occupants during a fire or any other emergency
Refuge Area means either of the following: "Street" means a public thoroughfare which is 30 or more feet in width, which has been dedicated or deeded to the public for public use, and which is accessible for use by a fire department in fighting fires. An enclosed space or tunnel, even though used for vehicular and pedestrian traffic, is not considered a street.
