Ratification definition

Ratification means the acceptance by a local union and by both an institution and the PSEA of the terms of a Collective Agreement that includes this Common Agreement. The local unions and institutions are those listed in 12 above.
Ratification has the meaning ascribed to it in section "6.1" hereinbelow;

Examples of Ratification in a sentence

  • Ratification of the amendment will be deemed to take place when two-thirds (2/3) of the districts have voted for passage.

  • Ratification is permissible so long as the agency head: 1) had the authority to take the action to be ratified at the time of ratification; 2) had full knowledge of the decision to be ratified; and 3) made a detached and considered affirmation of the earlier decision.

  • All non-compensatory provisions, wages and benefits shall be effective from Date of Ratification unless otherwise specified in this Collective Agreement.
