Qualified mental health professional means a licensed medical practitioner or any other person meeting the qualifications specified in OAR 309-019-0125.
Qualified medical provider means the same as that term is defined in Section 26-61a-102.
Medical professional means a person licensed to practice
Qualified Medical Practitioner means any person legally authorized by the Government with jurisdiction in the geographical area of his or her practice to render medical or surgical service, but excluding a qualified medical practitioner who is the Insured Person or an Immediate Family Member of the Insured Person.

Licensed health care professional means a person who possesses a professional medical license that is valid in Oregon. Examples include, but are not limited to, a registered nurse (RN), nurse practitioner (NP), licensed practical nurse (LPN), medical doctor (MD), osteopathic physician (DO), respiratory therapist (RT), physical therapist (PT), physician assistant (PA), or occupational therapist (OT).
Qualified professional means a person with experience and training in the pertinent scientific discipline, and who is a qualified scientific expert with expertise appropriate for the relevant critical area subject in accordance with WAC 365-195-905(4). A qualified professional must have obtained a B.S. or B.A. or equivalent degree in biology, engineering, environmental studies, fisheries, geomorphology, or related field, and two years of related work experience.
Health professional means an individual licensed or otherwise authorized to engage in a health profession under article 15 of the public health code, 1978 PA 368, MCL 333.16101 to 333.18838, and whose scope of practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of individuals with a substance use disorder.
Participating Clinical Professional Counselor means a Clinical Professional Counselor who has a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.
Non-Participating Clinical Professional Counselor means a Clinical Professional Counselor who does not have a written agreement with the Claim Administrator or another Blue Cross and/or Blue Shield Plan to provide services to you at the time services are rendered.

Health care professional means a physician or other health care practitioner licensed, accredited or certified to perform specified health care services consistent with state law.
Allied Health Professional means a person registered as an allied health professional with the Health Professions Council;

Qualified Medical Child Support Order means a Medical Child Support Order which creates (including assignment of rights) or recognizes an Alternate Recipient's right to receive benefits to which a Participant or Qualified Beneficiary is eligible under this Plan, and has been determined by the Plan Administrator to meet the qualification requirements as outlined under “Procedures” of this provision.
Chemical dependency professional means a person certified as a chemical dependency professional by the department of health under chapter 18.205 RCW.
Professional Sports means a sport, which would remunerate a player in excess of 50% of his or her annual income as a means of their livelihood.
Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) means a qualified person who evaluates employees who have violated a DOT drug and alcohol regulation and makes recommendations concerning education, treatment, follow-up testing, and aftercare.

Licensed professional means a professional registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia pursuant to Article 1 (§ 54.1-400 et seq.) of Chapter 4 of Title 54.1 of the Code of Virginia. Health profession ’ means allopathic medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, geriatric medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, podiatric medicine, nursing, public health nursing, dentistry, psychiatry, osteopathy, optometry, pharmacy, psychology, public health, social work, marriage and family therapy, chiropractic medicine, environmental health and engineering, and allied health profession, or any other health profession.
continuing professional development means the continuing professional development contemplated in section 32;
Design Criteria Professional means a firm who holds a current certificate of registration under Chapter 481 of the Florida Statutes, to practice architecture or landscape architecture, or a firm who holds a current certificate as a registered engineer under Chapter 471 of the Florida Statutes, to practice engineering, and who is employed by or under contract to the District to provide professional architect services, landscape architect services, or engineering services in connection with the preparation of the Design Criteria Package.
Primary care physician or “PCP” means a Plan Provider who has an independent contractor agreement with HPN to assume responsibility for arranging and coordinating the delivery of Covered Services to Members. A Primary Care Physician’s agreement with HPN may terminate. In the event that a Member’s Primary Care Physician’s agreement terminates, the Member will be required to select another Primary Care Physician.
