Public Utility System definition

Public Utility System means collectively the sewage and water supply systems owned and operated by the City including all wells, pumps, pipes, distribution lines, values and appurtenances.
Public Utility System or "system" means any facilities, in whole or in part, constructed to provide public utility services and using rights-of-way to provide such service.
Public Utility System means the properties and assets relating to the City’s wholly-owned enterprise commonly known as the “Public Utility” which includes its waterworks, electric, natural gas, transportation and telecommunications departments and other minor services, to which legal title is vested in the City and all properties and assets acquired by the City as renewals and replacements, additions, expansions and improvements thereto, as recorded in the books of the City pursuant to generally accepted accounting principles appropriate to the public utility industry, and all renewals and replacements, additions and expansions and improvements thereto acquired as the result of either assumption or donation, or paid for or financed in whole or in part from Revenues or from the proceeds of debt obligations.
