Public safety compliance. The Hirer shall comply with all conditions and regulations made in respect of the premises by the Fire Authority, Local Authority, the Licensing Authority or otherwise, particularly in connection with any event which constitutes regulated entertainment, at which alcohol is sold or provided or which is attended by children.

Public safety compliance. The Hirer shall comply with all conditions and regulations made in respect of the premises by the Local Authority, the Licensing Authority, and the hall’s Fire Risk Assessment or otherwise, particularly in connection with any event which constitutes regulated entertainment, at which alcohol is sold or provided or which is attended by children. The Hirer shall also comply with the hall’s health and safety policy. The Fire Service shall be called to any outbreak of fire, however slight, and details shall be given to the secretary of the management committee.

THE TRUST has instigated a ‘Risk Assessment’ and ‘Fire Risk Assessment’ for the Village Hall. The Hirer is required to make themselves aware of and comply with the contents of those risk assessments and, in signing this agreement, confirm that they have done so. The risk assessments can be viewed on the Hall’s website or a hard copy is available for inspection, by appointment, at the Hall. The Hirer may need to supplement the Hall’s Risk Assessments with their own depending on the activity being undertaken. It is the Hirer’s responsibility to assess that need and the Trustees accept no responsibility for any deficiency in this respect.

Public safety compliance. The Hirer shall comply with all conditions and regulations made in respect of the property by the Local Authority, Licensing Authority, and the relevant Fire Risk Assessment or otherwise, particularly in connection with any event which constitutes regulated entertainment or which is attended by children. The Hirer shall take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of all persons attending the event or using the property during the period of hire whether as officials’ volunteers or members of the public. A Risk Assessment, covering the period of hire and all activities to be undertaken at the event, shall be completed by the Hirer prior to the period of hire.

As such you have a Duty of Care for all persons assisting and all guests on site during your hire period. You are responsible for ensuring all your guests are fully briefed. Failure to comply could lead to prosecution.
