Public Research Organisation definition

Public Research Organisation means an entity (such as universities or research institutes, technology transfer agencies, innovation intermediaries, research-oriented physical or virtual collaborative entities) organised under public law, irrespective of its legal status or way of financing, whose primary goal is to independently conduct fundamental research, industrial research or experimental development or to widely disseminate the results of such activities by way of teaching, publication or knowledge transfer; Non-Profit Research means use of patents and/or trade secrets for academic research or other not- for-profit scholarly purposes which are undertaken at a Public Research Organisation or governmental institution; Non-Royalty Sublicence Income means all proceeds, other than Royalty Sublicense Income, received by Licensee under a granted sublicence with respect to Licensed Patents; Parties refer to the parties to this Agreement, Licensor and Licensee; Patent Licence has the meaning given by section III(1);
