Prudent Mining Practices definition

Prudent Mining Practices means the practices, methods and acts engaged in or approved by a significant portion of the coal mining industry in the United States of America during the relevant time period and which practices, methods and acts would be expected to accomplish the desired result at a reasonable cost consistent with good business practices, reliability, safety and expedition.
Prudent Mining Practices means those procedures, methods, techniques, and acts that are consistent with professional standards used by the lignite mining industry for the operation and maintenance of mines similar in type to the Mine. Prudent Mining Practices are intended to result in the safe, reliable, lawful, economic, and prudent operation and maintenance of the Mine to maximize lignite production and minimize Mine Costs in a manner consistent with long-term reliable exploitation of the Mine and the rights and obligations of the Parties under this LSA. Prudent Operating Practices are not intended to be limited to optimum practice or methods to the exclusion of all others, but rather to be a spectrum of reasonable and prudent practices and methods that must take into consideration the conditions specific to the Mine.

Examples of Prudent Mining Practices in a sentence

  • Notwithstanding any other provision of this LSA, TWCC shall act in accordance with Prudent Mining Practices in trying to minimize Commodities costs incurred by TWCC and its subcontractors.

  • Methods shall be established for determining the weight and BTU content of coal delivered, in accordance with Prudent Mining Practices and applicable portions of the American Society for Testing and Materials standards, or such other procedures as the Mining Oversight Committee may determine with due regard for overall economy in investment and in operation, including splitting of samples and bias testing by an independent commercial firm qualified to conduct such testing.

  • To assure that the Mine is properly maintained through the remainder of 2007, TWCC agrees to (i) operate the Mine and to maintain all vehicles, machinery, and equipment utilized at the Mine in a manner that is consistent with the Prior LSA, Prudent Mining Practices, the preliminary 2008 AOP, and the Approved AOP for 2008, and (ii) conduct and complete all reclamation obligations in accordance with the Prior LSA, Prudent Mining Practices, and all applicable Permits and Laws.

Related to Prudent Mining Practices

  • Good Manufacturing Practices means current good manufacturing practices, as set forth in 21 C.F.R. Parts 210 and 211.

  • Good Industry Practices means the practices that would be adopted by, and the exercise of that degree of care, skill, diligence, prudence and foresight that reasonably would be expected from, a competent contractor in the international oil and gas industry experienced in performing work similar in nature, size, scope and complexity to the Work and under conditions comparable to those applicable to the Work, where such work is subject to, and such contractor is seeking to comply with, the standards and codes specified in the Contract or (to the extent that they are not so specified) such national or international standards and codes as are most applicable in the circumstances, and the applicable Law.

  • Prudent Operating Practice means the mining practices, methods and acts that would be employed by a prudent mining operator having assets and operations similar in type, size, location and scope to Borrower, using modern mining equipment and techniques in the conduct of diligent and safe mining operations in an attempt to recover the maximum amount of economically mineable and merchantable coal from the Mining Facilities with due regard for all Applicable Law, all in accordance and compliance with Environmental or Mining Permits held by Borrower.

  • Good Industry Practice means standards, practices, methods and procedures conforming to the Law and the degree of skill and care, diligence, prudence and foresight which would reasonably and ordinarily be expected from a skilled and experienced person or body engaged in a similar type of undertaking under the same or similar circumstances.

  • Prudent Industry Practices means, at a particular time, any of the practices, methods, standards of care, skill, safety and diligence, as the same may change from time to time, but applied in light of the facts known at the time, that are consistent with the general standards applied or utilized under comparable circumstances by a reasonably prudent operator, in a good and workmanlike manner, with due diligence and dispatch, in accordance with good midstream industry practice.

  • Prudent Servicing Practices The standard of care set forth in each Servicing Agreement.

  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices or “cGMP” means applicable Good Manufacturing Practices as specified in the United States Code of Federal Regulations and/or the EU Good Manufacturing Guidelines, and any successor legislation from time to time, prevailing at the time of the manufacture of the Product.

  • Prudent Industry Practice means such practices, methods, acts, techniques, and standards as are in effect at the time in question that are consistent with (a) the standards generally followed by the United States pipeline and terminalling industries or (b) such higher standards as may be applied or followed by the HFC Entities in the performance of similar tasks or projects, or by the HEP Entities in the performance of similar tasks or projects.

  • Good Engineering Practice means, Works carried out in accordance with the following standards/ specifications,

  • Good Laboratory Practices or “GLP” means the then-current good laboratory practice standards promulgated or endorsed by the FDA, as defined in U.S. 21 C.F.R. Part 58 (or such other comparable regulatory standards in jurisdictions outside the United States, as they may be updated from time to time).

  • Reasonable and Prudent Operator means a person seeking in good faith to perform its contractual obligations and, in the process of doing so and in the overall conduct of its whole undertaking exercising that degree of diligence, skill, prudence and foresight which can reasonably and ordinarily be expected from a skilled and experienced operator engaged in the same type of undertaking under the same or similar circumstances complying with all applicable Laws, and any reference to the standard of a Reasonable and Prudent Operator means such degree of diligence, skill, prudence and foresight as aforesaid.

  • Customary Servicing Practices means the customary servicing practices of the Servicer or any Sub-Servicer with respect to all comparable motor vehicle receivables that the Servicer or such Sub-Servicer, as applicable, services for itself and others, as such customary servicing practices may be changed from time to time, it being understood that the Servicer and the Sub-Servicers may not have the same “Customary Servicing Practices.”

Good Utility Practices are not intended to be limited to the optimum practice, method or act to the exclusion of all others, but rather to be acceptable practices, methods or acts generally accepted in the region.

  • Prudent Electrical Practices means those practices, methods and acts that would be implemented and followed by prudent operators of electric energy generating facilities in the Western United States, similar to the Facility, during the relevant time period, which practices, methods and acts, in the exercise of prudent and responsible professional judgment in the light of the facts known at the time the decision was made, could reasonably have been expected to accomplish the desired result consistent with good business practices, reliability and safety. Prudent Electrical Practices shall include, at a minimum, those professionally responsible practices, methods and acts described in the preceding sentence that comply with manufacturers’ warranties, restrictions in this Agreement, and the requirements of Governmental Authorities, WECC standards, the CAISO and Laws. Prudent Electrical Practices also includes taking reasonable steps to ensure that:

  • Accepted Master Servicing Practices With respect to any Mortgage Loan, as applicable, either (x) those customary mortgage servicing practices of prudent mortgage servicing institutions that master service mortgage loans of the same type and quality as such Mortgage Loan in the jurisdiction where the related Mortgaged Property is located, to the extent applicable to the Trustee or the Master Servicer (except in its capacity as successor to a Servicer), or (y) as provided in the applicable Servicing Agreement, to the extent applicable to any Servicer, but in no event below the standard set forth in clause (x).

  • Good Practice means such practice in the processing of personal data as appears to the Commissioner to be desirable having regard to the interests of data subjects and others, and includes (but is not limited to) compliance with the requirements of this Act;
