Proper Certification definition

Proper Certification means that the low income individual or family must obtain a letter, with such supporting documentation as MHA may require, from the agency with which MHA has entered into a signed agreement. The letter must include a statement that the low- income individual or family will be displaced because of the actions undertaken by the agency. The letter must also include a recommendation that the individual or family receive the displacement preference. MHA retains the sole right to determine the adequacy of the certification.
