Project Labour Agreement definition

Project Labour Agreement or “PLA” means the labour agreement signed April 13, 2022 between the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC and those unions signatory thereto, as amended, supplemented or replaced from time to time.
Project Labour Agreement means the collective agreement referred to in paragraph 13.1 of this IR Policy, as amended, varied, restated or novated in accordance with such agreement, or as substituted (as the case may be), from time to time.
Project Labour Agreement or “PLA” means the labour agreement for the Highway 5 – Category B Project which will be entered into by and between Construction Labour Relations Association of BC and those unions signatory thereto, as amended, supplemented or replaced from time to time.

Examples of Project Labour Agreement in a sentence

  • If amended by way of a Project Labour Agreement (PLA) the PLA overtime provision will apply: Monday through Friday – Time and one-half (1.5x) shall be paid for the first two (2) hours with double (2x) time thereafter.

  • This Agreement will not apply where the employer is engaged in work on a project where there is a Multi-Trade Project Labour Agreement.

  • The terms of any Project Labour Agreement would be bind- ing on any IBEW signatory Contractor who is bidding work within the jurisdiction of Local 120.

  • It shall be the Contrac- tor’s responsibility to contact Local 120 as to whether or not a Project Labour Agreement applies to a given project.

  • Its labour requirements make it closer to a Project Labour Agreement (PLA), which is essentially an agreement to use only union labour on a job site.

  • To assist in the procurement of work, upon request of the Contractor the Union may, by means of a Project Labour Agreement grant a variance to the hours of work to allow for a flexible hour work week consisting of five (5) consecutive eight (8) hour days worked Monday to Saturday, free of overtime premiums on Saturday.

  • The overtime provisions within this section shall apply unless amended in the mainline pipeline agreement or by way of a Project Labour Agreement (PLA).
