Proficiency testing sample definition

Proficiency testing sample or “PT sample” means a sample obtained from an approved provider to evaluate the ability of a laboratory to produce an analytical test result meeting the def- inition of acceptable performance outlined in s. NR 149.27. The concentration of the analyte in the sample is unknown to the labo- ratory at the time of analysis. PT samples are used to evaluate whether the laboratory can produce analytical results within spec- ified acceptance limits.
Proficiency testing sample or “PT sample” means a sample obtained from an approved proficiency testing sample provider to evaluate the ability of a laboratory to produce an ana- lytical test result meeting the definition of acceptable perfor- mance outlined in s. NR 149.27. The concentration of the analyte in the sample is unknown to the laboratory at the time of analysis.
Proficiency testing sample or "PT sample" means a subsample of a matrix containing analytes of a concentration unknown to the laboratory that is used to evaluate the performance of its analytical systems. Proficiency testing samples must be obtained from a provider that is accredited by an accreditation body approved by the director of RIDOH.

More Definitions of Proficiency testing sample

Proficiency testing sample means a sample, the composition of which is unknown to the medical cannabis independent testing laboratory, provided to a medical cannabis independent testing laboratory to test whether the medical cannabis independent testing laboratory can produce analytical results within certain criteria.
Proficiency testing sample or "PT sample" means a sample, the composition of which is unknown to both the analyst and the laboratory. The PT sample tests whether the analyst or laboratory or both can produce analytical results within specified acceptance criteria.
