Professional Executive Committee definition

Professional Executive Committee means the committee appointed in accordance with regulation 9(1) of the Primary Care Trust (Membership, Procedure and Administration Arrangements) Regulations 2000 as amended by the Primary Care Trusts (Membership, Procedure and Administration Arrangements) Amendment (No.2) (England) Regulations 2002 (SI 2002 No. 557) and the Primary Care Trust (Membership, Procedure and Administration Arrangements) Amendment (England) Regulations 2003 (SI 2003 No. 1616) to exercise such functions of the PCT as are specified in directions given by the Secretary of State. Directions for membership of the Professional Executive Committee (PEC) are set out in the Primary Care Trust Professional Executive Committees (Membership) Directions 2003.
Professional Executive Committee means the committee that provides clinical leadership and oversight of the commissioning functions and strategies on behalf of the Board which may, for local operational reasons,
