Production Strain definition

Production Strain means recombinant yeast or some other microbial agent that has been genetically engineered to make a desired compound or product by means of a fermentation process.
Production Strain means any Narrow Production Strain and/or any Broad Production Strain.
Production Strain means recombinant yeast that: has been genetically engineered by or on behalf of ABI (which shall be deemed to include any Production Strains made by AB on behalf of ABI) to make a five carbon (C5), ten carbon (C10), or a fifteen carbon (C15) isoprenoid product during fermentation.

  • BMS shall reimburse Ambrx on a rolling calendar quarter basis for Ambrx’s documented Third Party Costs and FTE costs (at the FTE Rate) incurred in the performance of any Production Strain Work in accordance with the applicable Production Strain Work Plan, provided that such Third Party Costs and FTE costs (i.e., the level of FTE effort) shall be in accordance with the approved Production Strain Work Plan (or an amendment thereto or as otherwise approved in writing by BMS in advance of being incurred).

  • Any such Production Strain Work shall be overseen by the JRC or a subcommittee of the JRC formed for such purpose.

  • Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, BMS hereby grants back to Ambrx a non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, royalty-free license under the Ambrx Technology licensed pursuant to Section 7.1 solely to conduct the Research Program or activities under any Production Strain Work Plan, and not for any other purpose.

  • Ambrx shall have no obligation [***] except to the extent as may be expressly set forth in and conducted under the Research Plan or any Production Strain Work Plan.

  • Codexis may not transfer any Dyadic Materials, or any derivative or modification thereof, to any Third Party other than (x) as a Licensed Product and/or a Production Strain in accordance with this Section 2.1(c)(3), and (y) under the terms of a Sublicense Agreement.

  • For purposes of this Section 2.1(c)(3), “reverse engineering” means the identification, modification, derivatization or other manipulation of genetic material included in a Production Strain, including for example any gene, portion of any gene, promoter, regulator, inducer, metabolic pathway, metabolomics, trancriptomics, secretion signal, vector, plasmid, protein, compound, or other material in or of such Production Strain.

  • Any such Production Strain Work shall be overseen by the JMC or a subcommittee of the JMC formed for such purpose.

  • Renewable Fuel Products and Renewable Chemical Products outside of Brazil The foregoing grant is achieved by a grant of multiple licenses on a Patent-by-Patent and a Production Strain-by-Production Strain basis (collectively, the “Licenses”), whereas each such License includes the Know-How associated with the Patent or Production Strain covered by such License.

  • The term of each License will be determined on a License-by-License basis as follows: (i) each License to a Patent will expire upon the expiration of the term of the applicable Patent, unless earlier terminated as permitted herein; and (ii) each License to a Production Strain will expire upon the expiration of the applicable Patent, if any, covering such Production Strain or, if there is no Patent covering such Production Strain, then upon expiration of the last License to a Patent hereunder.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, if AB desires to transfer any ABI Technology, including without limitation any Production Strain or any other tangible biological material received from ABI or derived from any materials received from ABI, to any Third Party to pursue development or scale-up work consistent with the license rights granted hereunder, such transfer must also be documented on the terms required for sublicenses set forth above.

Production Strain. “Production Strain” shall mean a codon optimized Pseudomonas fluorescens strain that is derived from the Pfenex Expression Technology™ provided by Dow to VGX pursuant to this Agreement including VGX’s gene encoding for the Vpr protein and is the strain designated CS469-002 (cytoplasmic) created as part of the Services under the Letter Agreement between VGX and DOW with an effective date of February 9, 2006.
