Examples of Privileges in a sentence
Section 7 of the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations provides, inter alia, that the United Nations, including its subsidiary organs, is exempt from all direct taxes, except charges for utilities services, and is exempt from customs duties and charges of a similar nature in respect of articles imported or exported for its official use.
All documents that comprise the Contract, and all documents, notices and receipts issued or provided pursuant to or in connection with the Contract, will be deemed to include, and will be interpreted and applied consistently with, the provisions of Article 9 (Privileges and Immunities; Settlement of Disputes).
Nothing in or related to the Contract will be deemed a waiver, express or implied, deliberate or inadvertent, of any of the privileges and immunities of the United Nations, including UNICEF and its subsidiary organs, under the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, 1946, or otherwise.
The initiation of conciliation or arbitral proceedings in accordance with Article 9 (Privileges and Immunities; Settlement of Disputes) below will not be grounds for termination of the Contract.
In accordance with the provisions of article 21 of the General Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the Council of Europe, all disputes between the Council of Europe (EDQM) and the customer as regards the application of this contract shall be submitted, if a mutual agreement cannot be reached between the parties, to arbitration as laid down in Order No. 481 of the Secretary General, approved by the Committee of Ministers.
