Privacy Event definition

Privacy Event means any act, error or omission which, in the reasonable opinion of the named insured did cause or is reasonably likely to result in the unauthorized disclosure or the unauthorized use of protected information.
Privacy Event means an unauthorized disclosure or loss ofPersonal Information” in the care, custody or control of any “Insured”.
Privacy Event means any act, error or omission which, in the reasonable opinion of an owner, manager of any limited liability entity, member of the Management Committee, Managing Partner, Operating Partner, Senior Partner (or any equivalent position) or Risk Manager (or any equivalent position) did cause or is reasonably likely to result in the unauthorized disclosure or the unauthorized use of non-public personal information.

  • The Insurer will pay on behalf of the Insured: Privacy & Cyber Breach Liability Claim Expenses and Damages resulting from a Claim for a Privacy Event or Cyber Breach Event that is first made during the Policy Period, or applicable extended reporting period.

  • Defense Expenses and Damages that the Insured becomes legally obligated to pay due to a Claim for a Privacy Event, Security Breach, or violation of a Breach Notice Law that first occurred on or after the Retroactive Date.

  • Breach Response Costs incurred by the Organization due to an actual or reasonably suspected Privacy Event or System Breach that first occurs on or after the Retroactive Date.


More Definitions of Privacy Event

Privacy Event means the following occurring on or after the Retroactive Date and prior to the end of the Policy Period:
Privacy Event means: 1. the Insured's unintentional and unauthorized disclosure or loss of Personal Information or Corporate Information in the care, custody or control of any Insured or Service Provider; 2. unauthorized or surreptitious collection of Personal Information or Corporate Information by an Insured or the failure to provide adequate notice that such information is being collected; or 3. a violation of any Privacy Regulation or failure to comply with the Insured's own privacy policies.
Privacy Event means any failure to protect confidential information (whether by “phishing,” other social engineering technique or otherwise) including, without limitation, that which results in an identity theft or other wrongful emulation of the identity of an individual or corporation; violation of any federal, state, foreign or local privacy statute alleged in connection with a Claim for Damages, judgments, settlements, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest.
