Eligibility for Premium Payment Benefits may also be subject to the additional requirements, if any, specified in the Medical Insurance Plan.
The maximum contribution that may be made under this Plan for a Participant is the total of the maximums that may be elected as Employer and Participant Contributions for Premium Payment Benefits, as described in Section 6.2. ARTICLE VI.
An Eligible Employee can (a) elect benefits under the Premium Payment Component by electing to pay for his or her share of the Contributions for Medical Insurance Benefits on a pretax Salary Reduction basis (Premium Payment Benefits); or (b) elect no benefits under the Premium Payment Component and to pay for his or her share of the Contributions, if any, for Medical Insurance Benefits with after-tax deductions outside of this Plan.
When first eligible or during the Open Enrollment Period as described under Article IV, Participants will be given the opportunity to elect Premium Payment Benefits, as described in Article VI.
The annual Contribution for a Participant's Premium Payment Benefits is equal to the amount as set by the Employer, which may or may not be the same amount charged by the insurance carrier.
All of the amounts payable under this Plan shall be paid from the general assets of the Employer, but Premium Payment Benefits are paid as provided in the applicable insurance policy.
While the Employer has complete responsibility for the payment of Benefits out of its general assets (except for Premium Payment Benefits paid as provided in the applicable insurance policy), it may hire an unrelated third-party paying agent to make Benefit payments on its behalf.
