potential service definition

potential service means the pensionable service the member could have completed, taking account of paragraph (5), if he had stayed in pensionable employment as a mental health officer until age 55.
potential service means any period of years and fractions of a year during which a Member could have remained in the employ of the City up to their sixtieth (60th) birthday had such Member not died, provided that in no case shall Potential Service plus Pensionable Service exceed thirty-five (35) years in aggregate.
