Posting of Work Schedules. Work schedules shall be written in ink and posted and maintained in such a way as to provide every employee an opportunity to know her shift schedule for an advanced period of six (6) weeks.
Posting of Work Schedules. 15.01 The Employer agrees to have a monthly work schedule posted for all employees no later than the fifteenth (15th) day of the current month for the subsequent month. No employee who is ill, on vacation or on an authorized leave of absence will be required to find a replacement suitable to the Employer for their scheduled shifts during such period.

In the event the Agency determines a change in an employee’s work schedule is necessary due to operational needs and when there are two (2) or more employees available and qualified to perform the duties of a specific assignment in the same classification, the Employer, to the extent possible under ordinary circumstances, will assign the least senior employee(s) to the modified schedule. The Agency shall ask for volunteers prior to assigning employees to the modified schedule. An employee shall not be required to change his/her posted schedule solely to avoid the payment of overtime to such employee. Employees may voluntarily switch work days with other employees with the prior approval of the supervisor. In non-institutional settings where the work schedule is fixed, the Agency shall not change an employee’s schedule solely to avoid the payment of overtime.

Management may 9 change work schedules with ten (10) days’ notice to affected employees, and with less 10 notice in the following circumstances:
Posting of Work Schedules. It is understood that the Employer reserves the right to limit the number of persons to be scheduled off work at any one time. Work schedules will be posted for a work period of four (4) weeks or greater and shall be posted for a minimum of four (4) weeks in advance. Work schedules shall not be established solely to avoid overtime but for efficient operations. After the schedule has been posted it will remain in effect for the duration of the posted period and may be changed only with four (4) weeks’ notice of a date or in emergency situations or employer-required training provided by non-departmental personnel. Less than full time (LTFT) employee schedules may be modified with two (2) weeks’ notice to facilitate time off for other officers and/or provide coverage for the advanced scheduled absence of an officer and/or in the case of an emergency. LTFT employees scheduled hours cannot exceed forty (40) hours in any week. For the purposes of this Article, LTFT means part-time permanent in the Departments of Mental Health and Addiction Services and Developmental Disabilities. For purposes of administration of this Article, training opportunities and employee leave notices shall not in themselves constitute emergencies. Records regarding work schedules shall be retained for twelve (12) months in each facility. Within a classification, requests for days off will be determined by agency practice. Shift assignments will be established by classification seniority within that classification, except that all bargaining unit members classified as Police Officer 1 and 2 shall use bargaining unit seniority within the respective agency. Employees at work facilities without work schedules shall be notified of special assignments two (2) weeks in advance whenever possible except for unforeseen or mitigating circumstances including emergency situations. Agencies with employees who work shifts shall have shift selection at least once a year or whenever a position is opened up. The Employer will attempt to schedule employees so as to have two (2) consecutive days off. The parties understand that employee cooperation will enhance the implementation of this section. The Unit 2 Association Attorney and management may agree to waive or modify any part of this Article.

Posting of Work Schedules. The Hospital will post work schedules prior to the 10th day preceding the day on which the schedule becomes effective. Nurses will be notified of schedule changes by the Hospital. Except for emergency conditions involving patient care and low census conditions, posted work schedules may only be changed by mutual consent. Employee initiated schedule changes shall not result in additional contract overtime or premium pay obligations being incurred by the Employer.
