Position Seniority definition

Position Seniority means a continuous employee's length of service in the present position.
Position Seniority means continuous employment service in a specific position of the Board represented by the Association (see Article I, Section A).
Position Seniority means the first day an employee is employed in a specific job classification, i.e., OS, AB, Assistant Conveyorman, Conveyorman, Oiler/QMED, Cook and Pumpman/QMED.

Examples of Position Seniority in a sentence

  • Position Seniority shall accrue only while actively working in a specific position.

  • A non-probationary employee identified for layoff may, instead of being laid off, displace an employee in a bargaining unit Position he/she has Position Seniority, if the bumping employee’s most recent year-end evaluation rating is better than that of the employee he/she seeks to displace.

  • A Congress member’s Position Seniority is frozen for two (2) years or the length of his/her Total Seniority, whichever is shorter, if he/she accepts employment in a District position that is not covered by this Agreement.

  • Position Seniority shall commence upon the date of entry into a position and shall include his seniority in a higher position in which he has served a satisfactory period.

  • If the most recent year-end evaluation ratings are the same of all employees in the affected Position, the employee with the least Position Seniority will be identified for layoff.

  • The individual whose last four digits of his/her social security number are lower shall be deemed to have more Position Seniority.

  • The individual with the earlier application date and time for the Position shall be deemed to have more Position Seniority.

  • For the purposes of this Agreement, unless otherwise specified, “Seniority” shall mean Position Seniority.

  • The Board will provide the Union a short list of all applicants upon the conclusion of a competition, which would include the following information: Position Change Request (PCR) number, Job Opening number, Location, Position Number, Job Title, Hours of Work, Employee Name, Employee Number, Current Position, Seniority Date and Successful Applicant.

  • The individual with the earlier date of first physically reporting for work in the Position shall be deemed to have more Position Seniority.
