Platforming Process definition
Platforming Process means a catalytic reforming process for converting hydrocarbons substantially boiling within the gasoline range, in the presence of a solid catalyst containing platinum or a platinum compound, at a temperature above 500 degrees Fahrenheit and in the presence of free hydrogen, to produce motor fuel having antiknock properties superior to those of the charge stock and to produce aromatic hydrocarbons, in which process there is no net consumption of hydrogen in the reaction zone.
