Plate Glass definition

Plate Glass means glass fitted to the structure of the building.

Plate Glass. Means fixed plain glass and mirrors in or on the insured premises excluding painting, tinting, embossing or ornamental works on the glass unless expressly stated and value included in the Sum Insured.

Plate Glass. When plate glass is specified it shall be polished patent plate glass of best quality. It shall have both the surface ground flat and parallel and polished to obtain clear undisturbed vision and reflection. The plate glass shall be of thickness mentioned in the item or as shown in the detailed drawing or as specified. In absence of specified thickness, the thickness of plate glass to be supplied shall be 6mm. and a tolerance pf .2mm shall be admissible.
