Place of governance means the physical location where the powers of an office are being exercised. "Political subdivision" includes counties, cities, towns, townships, districts, authorities, and other public corporations and entities whether organized and existing under charter or general law.

  • lead governor means the governor nominated by the corporation to fulfil the role described in Appendix B to The NHS Foundation Trust Code of Governance (Monitor, December 2013) or any later version of such code.

  • Office or place of profit means any office or place—

  • Place of public accommodation means any building or structure in which goods are supplied or services performed, or in which the trade of the general public is solicited.

  • the Governors means the directors of the Academy Trust (and "Governor" means any one of those directors), subject to the definition of this term at Article 6.9(b) in relation to Articles 6.2-6.9;

  • place of worship means that part of a building or structure that is exempt from taxation as a place of worship under the Assessment Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap. A.31, as amended, or any successor thereof;

  • Deputy Governor means a person nominated by the governor in accordance with Article 180 of the Constitution;

  • the Parent Governors means the Governors appointed pursuant to Articles 53 to 58 inclusive;

  • Place of entertainment means a public or private entertainment facility, such as a stadium, arena, racetrack, museum, amusement park, or other place where performances, concerts, exhibits, athletic games, or contests are held, for which an entry fee is charged, to which the public is invited to observe, and for which tickets are sold. "Place of entertainment" does not include a ski area.

  • Further Governors means Governors who may be appointed by the Secretary of State under the Articles of Association if a Special Measures Termination Event, as defined in this Agreement, occurs;

  • Council of governments means a decision-making body in each county composed of membership including the county governing body and the mayors of each municipality in the county.

  • Place of Conversion has the meaning specified in Section 3.1.

  • Corporate governance annual disclosure means a report an insurer or insurance group files in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 16b, Corporate Governance Annual Disclosure Act.
