Personal Day definition

Personal Day means a day, when an employee is excused from active duty for personal reasons.
Personal Day the teacher has not used during a school year, up to a maximum of $100 per year. The compensation shall be paid within 30 days of the end of the school year and may be paid separately or with any regular pay due the teacher. Requests to do this shall be on a designated form, if any, delivered to the District’s business office by June 1.
Personal Day shall be defined as an absence during working hours for the purpose of attending to personal and family matters. For purposes of this section, a day will be defined as 12 hours.

Examples of Personal Day in a sentence

  • The supervisor will make the decision if the Personal Day should be granted at that time.

  • At least 1 year of employment ten (10) days 5 years or more of employment fifteen (15) days 10 years of employment twenty (20) days Plus one Personal Day per year Sick Days: One day per Year.

  • When these hours accumulate to one (1) teaching day as outlined in the contract, one (1) Personal Day will be added to their accumulated Personal Leave, not to exceed five (5) days per school year.

  • If the Personal Day is not used during the current school year, and the total is over five (5.999) Personal Days for that year, it will roll over into the teacher’s accumulated sick days.

  • Requests for a single Personal Day off, or for hours within a single shift, shall be granted upon receipt of at least two weeks’ notice.

  • Request for use of any of this Personal Day shall be submitted to the employee's supervisor, in accordance with his regulations.

  • Subject to adequate notice to the Principal and the arrangement of coverage, the Bargaining Unit Member on a long-term assignment shall be granted an At Cost Personal Day restricted to a maximum of two (2) per year.

  • If the student is more than 15 minutes late to clinic the student will be charged a Personal Day.

  • In order to obtain his Personal Day Off for the following quarter, the employee must be on the payroll on the last day of the current quarter.

Personal Day. Family Day In the event the Government of Canada or the Province of Ontario declares any other day(s) a legal holiday, the Company agrees to recognize such day(s) as a paid holiday. If during the life of the Agreement any such holiday is declared, the first such holiday so declared shall replace the Personal Day.
Personal Day. All employees shall receive one (1) personal day in each contract year. This personal day is in addition to the holidays listed above.
