Persistently definition

Persistently means ‘lasting against all odds’. This applies to only one situation and cannot be used in a generalized statement like the one above. ‘Insistently’ is ‘compelling attention’. ‘Consistently’ means ‘in a systematic manner’. Hence, it is used more positively. ‘Perpetually’ is never ending. Hence, ‘constantly’ which means in every situation is correct.
