The work of all students in any of the required courses for the MD degree is reported in terms of the following grades: H (Pass with Honors), HP (High Pass), P (Pass) or F (Fail), or as two provisional marks: I (incomplete but work of passing quality) or Y (provisional, requiring remediation).
The dissertation proposal and defense—with the exception of Pass with Honors, which is only given for defenses—are evaluated on the following scale:▪ Pass with Honors: The project and its defense are of exceptional quality, as voted by all committee members, and completed within program deadlines.▪ Pass: The project is acceptable as it is, or with only minor revisions; a non-failing evaluation must be given by all or all but one committee members.▪ Conditional Pass: Major revisions are required.

AssessmentBased on the employer’s evaluation, academic advisors assessment, and the submitted formal report, daily log of tasks, poster and presentation, the Co-op academic advisor will assign the student a Pass with Honors “PH”, Pass “P”, or Fail “F” grade.

Where appropriate, certification by the individual faculty person or by the delegated representative of each departmental chairman that a student has satisfac- torily completed requirements for a course shall constitute grounds for a grade of Pass(P) or Pass with Honors ( H).
