Continuous work means work carried on with consecutive shifts throughout the twenty four hours of each of at least five consecutive days without interruption except during breakdowns or meal breaks or due to unavoidable causes beyond the control of the Employer.
Substantial Involvement means involvement on the part of the Government. DOE's involvement may include shared responsibility for the performance of the Project; providing technical assistance or guidance which the Applicant is to follow; and the right to intervene in the conduct or performance of the Project. Such involvement will be negotiated with each Applicant prior to signing any agreement.
Company’s workforce means the persons (and the dependants of those persons) engaged whether as employees, agents or contractors in the construction and operation of the facilities to be established pursuant to approved proposals;
Continuous Shift Work means work done by separate relays of employees where the hours of work are regularly rotated in accordance with a shift roster covering a 24 hour per day operation over a 7 day week.
Vesting Commencement Date means the Grant Date or such other date selected by the Committee as the date from which an Award begins to vest.
Permanent Works means the permanent works to be executed (including Plant) in accordance with the Contract.
Permanent Work means the permanent works including equipment to be supplied, executed, erected and maintained in accordance with the Contract.
Large work place means a place at which, at an average 500 or more workers are employed in connection with construction work.
Substantial improvement means any combination of repairs, reconstruction, rehabilitation, addition, or other improvement of a structure, taking place during any one-year period for which the cost equals or exceeds 50 percent of the market value of the structure before the “start of construction” of the improvement. This term includes structures which have incurred “substantial damage”, regardless of the actual repair work performed. The term does not, however, include either:
Massive Multiauthor Collaboration Site (or “MMC Site”) means any World Wide Web server that publishes copyrightable works and also provides prominent facilities for anybody to edit those works. A public wiki that anybody can edit is an example of such a server. A “Massive Multiauthor Collaboration” (or “MMC”) contained in the site means any set of copyrightable works thus published on the MMC site.
permanent establishment means a fixed place of business through which the business of an enterprise is wholly or partly carried on.
Permanent sign means any structure, display, logo, device or representation which is designed or used to advertise or call attention to any item, business, activity or place and is visible from outside a building that is intended to be in place for a period that is longer than 30 days. Associated Conditions means the symptoms or side effects associated with Stage-Four Advanced, Metastatic Cancer or its treatment and which, in the judgment of the health care practitioner, further jeopardize the health of a patient if left untreated.
Large Workplace means a place at which on an average, 500 or more workers are employed.
Continuous monitoring means the collection and use of measurement data and other information to record the data inputs required to calculate the 365-day rolling average lifecycle GHG emissions, in accordance with the compliance monitoring plan described in section IV.C.
Continuous monitoring system means the total equipment, required under the emission monitoring section in applicable subsections used to sample and condition (if applicable), to analyze, and to provide a permanent record of emissions or process parameters.
Employment Commencement Date means the date on which the Employee first performs an Hour of Service.
Continuous Status as a Director means the absence of any interruption or termination of service as a Director.
Board Change means, during any period of two consecutive years, individuals who at the beginning of such period constituted the entire Board cease for any reason to constitute a majority thereof unless the election, or the nomination for election, of each new director was approved by a vote of at least two-thirds of the directors then still in office who were directors at the beginning of the period.
Start-up Period means up to 7 Academy Financial Years and covers the period up to and including the first Academy Financial Year in which all age groups are present at the Academy (that is, all the pupil cohorts relevant to the age range of the Academy will have some pupils present).

Continuous Improvement Plan means a plan for improving the provision of the Goods and/or Services and/or reducing the Charges produced by the Supplier pursuant to Framework Schedule 12 (Continuous Improvement and Benchmarking);
Continuous Status as an Employee means the absence of any interruption or termination of service as an Employee. Continuous Status as an Employee shall not be considered interrupted in the case of a leave of absence agreed to in writing by the Company, provided that such leave is for a period of not more than 90 days or reemployment upon the expiration of such leave is guaranteed by contract or statute.
Permanent exclusion means the student is banned forever from attending a public school in the State of Ohio. (See Policy 5610.01)
Site / Work place means the lands and other spaces above & below the ground level on which the works are to be carried out, any other lands or places provided by the Owner for the purpose of the Contract.
Permanent Closure means ceasing operation of all or any part of the facility with the intent that the animal holding area(s) and/or manure storage area(s) will no longer be used for that purpose.
