Paid Leaves of Absence. Paid leaves of absences granted under this Article shall not exceed the employee's normal work schedule.
Paid Leaves of Absence. In addition to all other types of leave, teachers shall be entitled to the following leaves of absence with full pay and benefits:
Paid Leaves of Absence. A. All the full time and regular part-time employees with seniority shall earn sick leave at the rate of one (1) day per full calendar month of paid work. The unused sick leave days can be accumulated to 115 days as of October 1, 2004 for the duration of continuous employment, provided that employees will not be paid for a day of sick leave before they have earned it. Employees with more than 115 accumulated sick days as of October 1, 2004, shall not have those days reduced other than through the use of sick days but shall not be allowed to accumulate days so long as the employee has more than 115 days.
Paid Leaves of Absence. A. Definition of Immediate Family - Current spouse, children, parents, sister, brother, grandchildren, grandparents of employee and current spouse.
Paid Leaves of Absence. A. Classified employees shall be entitled to the following temporary non-cumulative leaves of absence with full pay each school year.
Paid Leaves of Absence. A. The following provisions apply to paid leaves of absence.
Paid Leaves of Absence a. At the beginning of each school year, each employee shall be granted 12 leave days. The number of leave days will be prorated if the employee works less than a full year. Upon five, ten, and fifteen years of service to the district, an additional leave day is added (5 years-13 total leave days/year; 10 years-14 total leave days/ year; 15 years- 15 total leave days/year). Requests for leave days that fall before or after a non-student day or on a professional development day that would extend a vacation, shall be granted only in emergency or extraordinary situations and must be approved by the principal and the Superintendent.
Paid Leaves of Absence. A. Paid leave time shall be deducted on an hourly basis in increments no smaller than one (1) hour.
Paid Leaves of Absence. A. There shall be no deduction of wages for the periods specified herein, if such action be recommended by the principal of the school or the head of the department, upon written request for absence to the principal or head of the department. Such recommendation shall not be unreasonably denied.
Paid Leaves of Absence. Subd. 1. Principals shall earn sick leave with pay at the rate of 17 days per year. Subd. 2. Unused sick leave days may accumulate to an unlimited level.
