Orthodontic Treatment definition

Orthodontic Treatment means any medical or dental service or supply furnished to prevent, diagnose, or correct a misalignment of the teeth, bite, jaws or jaw joint relationships, whether or not for the purpose of relieving pain. It does not include the installation of a space maintainer or a surgical procedure to correct malocclusion.
Orthodontic Treatment means preventive and corrective treatment of all those dental irregularities which result from the anomalous growth and development of dentition and its related anatomic structures or as a result of accidental injury and which require repositioning (except for preventive treatment) of teeth to establish normal occlusion.
Orthodontic Treatment means an appliance or the surgical or functional/myofunctional treatment of dental irregularities which either result from abnormal growth and development of the teeth, gums or jaws, or from Injury which requires the positioning of the teeth to establish normal occlusion.
