Oregon Indian tribe definition

Oregon Indian tribe means each of the Burns Paiute Tribe, the Confederated Tribes of
Oregon Indian tribe means each of the Burns Paiute Tribe, the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians, the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians of Oregon, the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon, the Coquille Indian Tribe, the Cow Creek Band of Umpqua Tribe of Indians and the Klamath Tribes, as long as each remains a federally recognized Indian tribe.

  • A federally recognized Oregon Indian tribe that is located, to a significant degree, within the boundaries of this state.

  • If the public body is a state, county or city entity, within Indian country of a federally recognized Oregon Indian tribe that is within the geographic boundaries of this state.

  • For purposes of this section, for projects located on a federally recognized Oregon Indian reservation, the governing body of a county shall be considered to be the governing body of the federally recognized Oregon Indian tribe.

  • Indian tribe means any Indian tribe, band, group, pueblo, or community, including native villages and native groups (including corporations organized by Kenai, Juneau, Sitka, and Kodiak) as defined in the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (43 U.S.C.A. 1601 et seq.), that is recognized by the Federal Government as eligible for services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs in accordance with 25 U.S.C. 1452(c). This definition also includes Indian-owned economic enterprises that meet the requirements of 25 U.S.C. 1452(e).

  • AT&T INDIANA means the AT&T owned ILEC doing business in Indiana.

  • AT&T SOUTHEAST REGION 9-STATE means the AT&T owned ILEC(s) doing business in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

  • AT&T SOUTH CAROLINA means the AT&T owned ILEC doing business in South Carolina.

  • American Indian means those persons for whom services may be provided as an Indian pursuant to 25 USC 1603(13), 1603(28), or 1679(a), or 42 CFR § 136.12.

  • Commonwealth Minister means the local Minister within the meaning of the gas pipelines access legislation of the Commonwealth;

  • Urbanized area means an area where a well or production facilities of a well are located within a municipal corporation or within a township that has an unincorporated population of more than five thousand in the most recent federal decennial census prior to the issuance of the permit for the well or production facilities.

  • Michigan economic development corporation means the public body corporate created under section 28 of article VII of the state constitution of 1963 and the urban cooperation act of 1967, 1967 (Ex Sess) PA 7, MCL 124.501 to 124.512, by a contractual interlocal agreement effective April 5, 1999, as amended, between local participating economic development corporations formed under the economic development corporations act, 1974 PA 338, MCL 125.1601 to 125.1636, and the Michigan strategic fund. If the Michigan economic development corporation is unable for any reason to perform its duties under this act, those duties may be exercised by the Michigan strategic fund.

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.

  • Metropolitan Region Scheme or “Scheme” has the meaning ascribed to that expression in the Scheme Act;

  • Restricted Territories means: (i) Cuba, Sudan, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the territory of Crimea / Sevastopol; and (ii) any other country or territory that is subject to sanctions by the United Kingdom, the European Union, the U.S, United Nations or elsewhere.

  • Region means the Control Areas and Transmission Facilities with respect to which a Party serves as RTO or Reliability Coordinator under NERC policies and procedures.

  • Gas company means any person distributing gas within the corporate limits or authorized and proposing to so engage.

  • Michigan state housing development authority means the public body corporate and politic created by Section 21 of the State Housing Development Authority Act of 1966, 1966 PA 346, MCL 125.1421.

  • Indian country means (i) all land within the limits of any Indian reservation under the jurisdiction of the United States government, notwithstanding the issuance of any patent, and including rights-of-way running through the reservation; (ii) all dependent Indian communities with the borders of the United States whether within the originally or subsequently acquired territory thereof, and whether within or without the limits of a state; and (iii) all Indian allotments, the Indian titles to which have not been extinguished, including rights-of-way running through the same.

  • metropolitan municipality means a municipality that has exclusive executive and legislative authority in its area, and which is described in section 155 (1) of the Constitution as a category A municipality;

  • AT&T SOUTHWEST REGION 5-STATE means the AT&T owned ILEC(s) doing business in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.

  • Western means the Board of Trustees of Western Michigan University and the administrative agents of said Board.

  • School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.

  • School District/Public Entity means the School District/Public Entity that executes the contract.

  • Geographic Region means large areas where similar combinations of climate, geomorphology, and potential natural vegetation occur, established for the purposes of implementing the water protection rules.

  • Virginia Stormwater Management Program authority or "VSMP authority" means an authority approved by the State Board after September 13, 2011, to operate a Virginia Stormwater Management Program.

  • District superintendent means the superintendent of a district or the chief administrator of a public school academy.

  • Public university means a public university described in section 4, 5, or 6 of article VIII of the state constitution of 1963.

  • India means the territory of India and includes the territorial sea and airspace above it, as well as any other maritime zone in which India has sovereign rights, other rights and jurisdiction, according to the Indian law and in accordance with international law, including the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea;

  • Next Michigan development corporation means that term as defined in section 3 of the next Michigan development act, 2010 PA 275, MCL 125.2953.
