Optical Medical Device definition

Optical Medical Device means any product classified as a medical device by the United States Food and Drug Administration under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (or any product that would be classified as such if it were sold in the United States, regardless of how it is classified in other countries) and associated with the human eye.

Related to Optical Medical Device

  • medical device means any instrument, apparatus, appliance, software, implant, reagent, material or other article intended by the manufacturer to be used, alone or in combination, for human beings for one or more of the following specific medical purposes:

  • Investigational Medicinal Product means the study drug or control material as defined in the Protocol.

  • Pharmaceutical Product shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in Section 3.1(hh).

  • Telemedicine means the exchange of medical information from one site to another via electronic communications for the purpose of providing patient care, treatment, and services.
