Operable definition

Operable means a vehicle that can be driven under its own 2.0-liter TDI engine
Operable means a Shared Scooter can be successfully rented, and all physical and electronic systems are able to be used safely.
Operable means capable of safely maneuvering under its own power out of the marina on its engine, from the mooring to another port of call and back to its mooring. In cases where a vessel does not appear to have left its mooring for a long period of time and the question of operability arises, Marina Management may require a demonstration of the vessel’s operability. At least thirty-(30) day’s advance written notice must be given to the vessel’s owner for such a request. In cases where a vessel is found to be inoperable, the owner shall have ninety (90) days to effect repairs. If after ninety (90) days the boat is still inoperable, the mooring will be forfeited to the Port of Everett. An extension of up to an additional ninety- (90) days to complete repairs may be granted if the vessel owner has, in the sole opinion of Marina Management, made substantial progress toward completion of repairs. If the vessel is removed from the water to effect repairs, regular sublease policies will apply. This section is not intended to apply to any brief period of repair common to most vessels. Marina Management may repeat this request to test operability as needed.

Operable means that a vehicle can be driven under its own engine power. A Subject Vehicle that has been altered with the use of any after-market emissions-related components, parts, and/or software or the removal of any original emissions-related components, parts, and/or software, if such alteration(s) are likely to substantially affect the operation of the vehicle with the Approved Emission Modification or substantially impede installation of the AEM, shall not be considered Operable unless and until the owner or lessee of such vehicle has reversed the alteration(s) such that the AEM may be installed and not substantially affected. Vehicles that are not Operable may be unable to receive the AEM. The CRC will be the final decision maker on whether a vehicle is Operable, but the initial determination of whether a vehicle is Operable will be made by the Authorized Service Provider that has been asked to install the AEM in the Subject Vehicle. A determination under this Section regarding whether a vehicle is Operable does not constitute any determination by EPA or CARB as to whether the emissions system of the vehicle has been modified.

A facility that cannot be operated on a day-to-day basis because of refueling, extensive modifications, or technical problems is still considered to be operable. A facility that has been officially placed in a standby or shutdown condition, or in an environmental remediation status, but in which personnel manipulate or handle fissionable materials, radioactive materials, or tritium in such form and quantity that a nuclear hazard potentially exists to the employees or the general public, or manipulate the controls of equipment used to produce, process, transfer, or store such materials, is also considered operable.
