OAM&P means operations administration maintenance and provision- ing as described in Appendix G.
OAM&P or "Operations, Administration, Maintenance and Provisioning Functions" are those automated and manual functions which insure quality of service and least cost planning, management and operations for telecommunications service providers. These functions, have traditionally been addressed through the user of operations support, decision support and administrative support systems, and are now generally in the process of being integrated under client-server and mainframe network management platforms such as HP's Open View, IBM's NetView and SUN's various network management product sets.
OAM&P means Operations, Administration, Maintenance, and Provisioning.
