Non-reappointment of faculty occurs as the result of three contingencies: cause, financial exigency, and academic program curtailment or discontinuance.
Non-reappointment shall not be used as any form of disciplinary action.
Non-reappointment of a tenured faculty person may occur as a result of "cause" which shall include "chronic low performance," defined as having received two consecutive "Unsatisfactory" adjectival ratings.
