Nonreappointment definition

Nonreappointment means not appointing a nontenured faculty member for a subsequent employment appointment after the completion of the nontenured faculty member's current contract term. (B/R 2/90)
Nonreappointment means not appointing a non­ tenured faculty member for a subsequent employment appointment after the completion of the non­tenured faculty member's current contract term.

Examples of Nonreappointment in a sentence

  • Non-reappointment of faculty occurs as the result of three contingencies: cause, financial exigency, and academic program curtailment or discontinuance.

  • Non-reappointment shall not be used as any form of disciplinary action.

  • Non-reappointment of a tenured faculty person may occur as a result of "cause" which shall include "chronic low performance," defined as having received two consecutive "Unsatisfactory" adjectival ratings.

  • Non-reappointment of a temporary employee does not constitute a layoff.

  • Nonreappointment after the first through fourth year shall not be grievable.

  • Non-reappointment within the first four years of full-time- equivalent service shall not be grievable.

  • Non-reappointment during this same time period shall not be grievable.

  • Non-reappointment may be utilized as an alternative to layoff for employees pursuant to Article 12.

  • Non-reappointment of an intermittent or temporary employee does not constitute a layoff.

  • Non-reappointment of faculty shall be governed by TTUHSC Operating Policy 60.01.
