Nonmerit definition

Nonmerit means a position that is exempt from the merit system.

Examples of Nonmerit in a sentence

  • Non-merit factors unrelated to work performance shall not be considered.

  • Non-merit factors such as Union activity, race, color or creed may not be considered by the City in granting such increases.

  • Non-merit factors, on the basis of which employment discrimination is expressly prohibited by law and/or Executive Order, will not be considered in any action taken pursuant to this Article.
