Nominal Hours Worked definition

Nominal Hours Worked has the same meaning as Sections 229 and 241 of the
Nominal Hours Worked means the ordinary hours that an employee works and is paid for during the preceding week.
Nominal Hours Worked is the specific hours that an employee is required to work by the employer which is either the specific number of hours worked or if the specified number of hours is more than 38 hours, then 38 hours (as per the Act).

More Definitions of Nominal Hours Worked

Nominal Hours Worked shall be determined according to one of the following methods; (1) Where an employee IS employed by the Club to work a specified number of hours per week, as follows; 1. by starting with that specified number of hours per week and then deducting; 2. the number of hours (if any) in the week that the employee is absent from the work for the Club on leave which does not count as service. AND 3. the number of hours (if any) in the week, other than those referred to above, that the employee engaged in industrial action (whether protected or not) in relation to the Club, on a day. (2) Where an employee IS NOT employed by the Club to work a specified number of hours per week, as follows; The number of nominal hours worked, by the employee for the Club during the week, is the LESSER of the following; 1. START with the number of hours (if any) in the week that the employee was required to work, and in fact did work, for the Club 2. ADD, the number of hours (if any) in the week that the employee is absent from the workplace, on leave that COUNTS as service, 3. DEDUCT, the number of hours (if any) in the week, that the employee engaged in industrial action (whether protected or not) in relation to a Club, on a day.
Nominal Hours Worked means by number of hours that the employee works PLUS authorised paid absences that count as service LESS unpaid absences (authorised or otherwise) LESS overtime.
